French Alps - Day 6 - FredCast's Photos

This was our Queen Stage. From Moutiers up and over the Col de la Madeleine, then a long ride through a valley, up and over Col du Telegraphe and a quick descent to Valloire.

FredCast > The monument to the Resistance in Moutiers. The statue on top reminded me of a Hawaiian dancer.

FredCast > Another view, with the French flag and our hotel in the background.

FredCast > Here is Jeff pondering the 26 km climb to the top of the Col de La Madeleine. We all decided to climb this one at an easy pace. Jeff, Brian and I climbed together, enjoying the views and the company.

FredCast > Jeff and Brian started without me. Good thing the Col was Ouvert!

FredCast > Yes! Actually, French drivers were way more courteous of cyclists than American drivers. Although I did have a few choice words with one car on the Alpe d'Huez.
